Medathon- The Medical Hackathon

This 5 day long endeavour started out with a day long workshop on design thinking, followed by a full day of brainstorming with expert mentors from engineering and medical fields. The event came to an end with the final pitch presentation on the 30th of July at Seth GSMC & KEMH. Design Thinking was conducted by our M.I.C.E team and it was a great interactive session starting off with an ice breaker, thinking hats and a lot more! Finally at the end of the day, teams were revealed, each consisting of 3 medical and 2 engineering students and they got to choose from 10 problem statements to work on! In the brain storming session, all teams sat together and brainstormed for a whole day with mentoring from experts from their fields. They visited the hospital, consulted doctors, nurses and interacted with patients to get a hold of the issue and work towards the solution. On the 30th of July 2022, the finale for MEDATHON was conducted at Seth GSMC & KEMH under our esteemed panel of judges Dr. Hemant Deshmukh, Dr. Aniruddha Malpani, Mr. Nishant Patil, Mr. Pratish Mepani. The pitch presentation started off with all the competing teams presenting their pitch along with the judges questions, followed by audience questions. An interactive session with the judges was held wherein participants and the audience could ask judges whatever queries they had.
